What a great way to introducing Big fish Game's new campaign 'Deluxe Games' to us! To be honest, Midnight Mysteries is not my favorite series in any kind, i didn't enjoyed the first three of this series as much. Surprisingly, i found my self can't stop playing this latest sequel of the series! Graphics and animations are the best, sharp and clear graphics with wonderful scene changing animations and also all of the 'magic' animations too! Story is unique, i think there's no other HOG that bring us the story of Houdini before so it's quite interesting! Puzzles are mostly possible to solved, they're also very fun and entertaining, although many are not so innovative. However, i personally think that there're too many dialogues, some might said that it's the factor that makes the story so compelling and twisting but for me, i think they're just ruin the gameplay experience! The locations are also very limited, you are limited to only about 3-4 locations at once...I also surprised that this game actually has no voice overs, most of the great games has it so why not? Same as the others, throughout the game you can collect Clovers to unlock the Unlimited HOS Mode and also you can collect Ravens to use them as Hint! The game itself might not look so scary or thrilling, but it's actually pretty scary, i got shocked by some of the fantastic scare effects, they're not just cheap scares like in other HOPA! All in all, it's one of the very challenging, atmospheric, high quality HOG game with a great level of scare!
