Haunting Mysteries: The Island of Lost Souls provides you with another sea-adventures, another lost island and another same, old, tired save the lost souls plot, luckily, it managed to hooked us somehow! Yes, the story gives us nothing new, a very ordinary, boring plot, however, the high production values of this game really impresses us! Firstly, cut scenes are really nice with stunning voice overs and gorgeous sound effects! Graphics are not the best, grainy at some spots but still good-looking! HOG scenes are quite challenging, and there're many of them, however, they're not impossible to complete! Puzzles mostly are on the easy side, but they're all suit the game's atmosphere and very entertaining as well! Another aspect we really liked about this game is its interface, the inventory bar is simple but quite stylish, the main menu screen is also very beautiful too! There're also over 40 lost souls (collectible items) to collect, they're mostly difficult to find so if you want to collect them all you better keep your eyes observing! The length of the game is unfortunately a little bit too short for Collector's Edition and it leaves us wanting more. Luckily, the game is full of extras such as extra achievements, extra HOG scenes, extra puzzles and some other standard ones so that should cancels each other out! The developer "Fuzzy Bug Interactive" spent a very long time making this game and we would say their time is really worth it. Haunting Mysteries: The Island of Lost Souls is a very entertaining game which will offers you an enjoyable gameplay experience, it just lacks of some creativity!
