Mystic Legacy: The Great Ring - Review

Name: Mystic Legacy: The Great Ring
Release Date: 03 September 2012
Developer: Foxy Games

Mystic Legacy is yet another Vampire-themed Hidden Object Adventure game, but the story includes a little twist that makes it interesting enough to follow. Even though the theme is on the dark side, this game includes a lot of humor and funny comments, it's a very nice addition to the game and that's maybe one of the few features that we like about this game, it's quite rare to find any developers in a 'good mood'! On the flaws, graphics and cut scenes are not great, they're slightly out of focus and the locations look a little bit 'flat'. Music is okay but not very exciting or atmospheric. Hidden Object scenes are simple list-type with few interactions, while puzzle are mostly pretty standard and easy to complete. The gameplay is also on the easy side, most object you've found will be use right away. There're also a lot o backtracking, luckily there is a map and a very useful hint which gives you a clear instruction on what to do next! The animations seem to be a little bit jerky and voice overs aren't at the top, they're just pretty average. All in all, Mystic Legacy is not an attractive game and it's surely not a top-notch one or the one that keep you wanting more, however, it's a strange little game that should be able to put you in a good mood!
