The Dreamatorium of Dr. Magnus - Review

Name: The Dreamatorium of Dr. Magnus
Release Date: 10 September 2012
Developer: Two Desparados

The Dreamatorium of Dr. Magnus is a brand new Hidden Object Adventure game from a new developer called Two Desparados! The main plot is about finding a missing person and revealing secrets, although this is not entirely new but we found little twists to the story very interesting as well as engaging. The graphics in the game are not super sharp but all scenes are brightly colored and beautiful. The music is also pleasant and relaxing while all the sound effects are not distracting. The game has no voice overs but that's not the main concern since there're very little dialogues and conversation. The game is quite linear, each chapter you will be given a set o locations to explore and in the next chapter you don't have to go back to those locations again. This is very helpful since Hint system is rather annoying and hardly give us any hint and there's no map in the game. Throughout the game, you can also collect 25 Horus eyes as a side-task. The Hidden Object scenes and puzzles are relatively entertaining to play. The main problem in this game is its long loading screens and some lagging between scenes. The Dreamatorium of Dr. Magnus is a game which we would describe as 'Relaxing' not 'Boring', it's surely a nice differ from all horror games lately.
